Finally Free – Friday’s Short Stories

Finally Free

Hey Dearies! So, this one is another short story based on an idea or prompt! This one inspired me or gave me the idea from Safe Haven, but with a different twist to it. This one has mentions of abuse, so if you are triggered by that, please don’t read!

What would freedom really be for those who are trapped?

Hailey didn’t know what freedom was until she got dropped off at the docks of Hawaii. She had finally left the pain and hurt that had been damaging her for years. She never thought that she would have to be on the run, but she figured being in Hawaii would give herself and her ex more distance between each other.

She looked around in amaze as she took a deep breath of her new surroundings. Picking up her bag pack that only held a few essentials that he grabbed in rush from leaving Kevin. She shook her head as she wandered around the street, she was amazed at the beautiful view of the ocean.

Hailey had always wanted to come to Hawaii, but after high school, her plans completely changed. They had especially changed since she met Kevin. The worse regret of her life. If she would’ve known what he would’ve been like before she had got with him, she would’ve run for her life.

Now she is running for her life.

Discouraging the thought of Kevin, something caught her eyes, as she watched him walk by. He looked familiar to her and it took her only a second to realize it was him, the real reason why she ran to Hawaii, all because of Ethan Brooks.

Her heart started to beat faster as he gazed into her eyes and stopping right in front of her.

“Hailey? Is that really you?” Her heart dropped, he still remembers her. Especially, since it’s been almost 3 years since she last saw him.

She was silent, a tear had fallen from her cheek, as she didn’t expect to cry in front of him. Instead of walking away from him, Ethan embraced her in his arms, holding her tightly. It made her feel safe and at home.

They stood there for a few minutes before Ethan pulled away from his embrace and took another look at her. Even though was in Hawaii, Hailey didn’t dress like she was comfortable. Wearing jeans and a tank top with a sweater covering her arms and zipped up to her neck.

Ethan noticed the bruise that slowly healing on her neck. Once he noticed that, he noticed other bruises of hers that were now more noticeable. “Walk with me, my beach house isn’t that far from here.” He grabbed her hand and took her bag of hers, throwing it over her shoulder, as he led to his beach house that was down the street from the boardwalk.

As soon as they got into Ethan’s beach house, Hailey was shocked at the place that she was in. She never knew that Ethan was rich, but he sure lived like it. She then took a view of the balcony that showed over the ocean, waves crashing onto the beach. It was heaven to her.

“Why didn’t you meet up with me that night?” Ethan spoke, he wasn’t going to catch up with her once he saw her bruises. Hailey beats herself up over not leaving to go with Ethan. She had met him in a nightclub, it was right after she 21, she went out with her friends to celebrate.

Hailey was talking to Kevin, but she was single when she met Ethan. When they danced, they clicked just like that and she followed him home where they had an amazing time. He told her he was leaving to go back to Hawaii and he wanted to take her with him, but before she could, she tried to explain it to Kevin, but it ended badly.

Hailey didn’t want to think about it, but she had to give Ethan an answer. “It’s harder for me to explain.” She spoke, turning to face him, tears fell from her eyes. “You don’t want to know what he did to me.”

Ethan, hugged her again, she hugged him back as she tried to maintain her crying, but it came out like waterfalls. “I’m sorry. I wanted to. I was ready to go and then he found out-”

“You don’t need to explain. You’re here with me now, aren’t you?” Ethan smiled, wiping her tears away as she gave him a smile in return. “Feel free to stay with me. I’m gonna make you something to eat, why don’t you go take a shower.”

Haily nodded as Ethan showed her the bathroom, giving her a set of sweat pants and shirt, then handing her a towel before walking out into the kitchen.

Hailey shut them down and started to strip out of her old clothes and looked at her naked self in the mirror, the black and blue bruises that were up and down on her body. She turned and looked at the deep scar that planted down her back, that hadn’t started to heal.

That scar was what gave her strength to leave Kevin.

After her shower, she got dressed in the clothes Ethan gave her and then headed into the kitchen, he was just finishing up cooking burgers. Her stomach growled, she hadn’t had anything since she left California except a cereal bar.

They ate together in silence. As Hailey was washing the dirty dishes, Ethan noticed the scar on her back, he was shocked at how bad the situation she was in. He turned her around, which scared her, she gazed into his eyes.

Ethan leaned his forehead against hers and studied her eyes, kissing her forehead. “I promise I won’t let anything bad happen to you. Stay with me.” He promised as Hailey was in shock, but it felt so right. She then nodded and then went to kiss his cheek, but Ethan turned his head, having her miss his cheek and plant a kiss onto his lips instead.

They kissed for a second, Hailey’s heart fluttered as she missed his kiss. Ethan pulled her closer and held her close, as they both had missed each other, more than they had known. In his arms, it was like wrapping yourself in a heavy blanket.

In the next few days, Ethan and Hailey caught up on what they missed in each other lives. The more time they spent together, they ended up growing closer to where they before. Hailey started to see a better version of herself in his arms, but having Ethan around made her forget all the pain and hurt that Kevin had ever put her in.

She was finally free from it all. The best part is that she was finally happier, stronger, and more empowered about her life choices. She was a bird that was finally free to fly where ever she wanted to go.

Circle The Drain – Friday’s Short Stories

Circle The Drain

Hey Dearies! This story is a little more serious topic, that involved alcohol abuse and what can occur to those who are affected by it. I just want to also make a disclaimer that if you are triggered by physical abuse, please read with caution. I also want to point out that this is just a story, this isn’t a true story.

This is from an older Katy Perry song that wasn’t one of her famous songs, but this one I think has a bigger message to those who are around those who can’t control the addictions they have started or picked up. Here’s a link to her song:

I’m not sticking around to watch you go down.

She could hear the crack of another bottle opening, this was her father’s 6th beer and she could tell things were about to get worse before they get better. Instead of grieving her mother’s death, her father drowned himself after work in that bottle.

That bottle.

She hated that bottle and the contents that were in it. She wished when the days were back to as they were: happy and simple. That all changed when her mother was killed in a drunk driving accident. After that day, everything changed.

She remembered her mother just stepping out to get some stuff for supper, she wanted to go with her, but her mother told her she was going to be right back. Then 2 hours after she left to get food, they got that call, it changed her life and her father’s.

Tears started to fall down her cheek, just thinking about it. She wiped them away and saw that a tear had fallin on her homework, as she tried to wipe it away. She missed her mother, she wished that she was in the car with her, that maybe she could’ve made sure that her mother stayed in the store longer and missed the driver or she was in the car with her mom when she got hit.

“Go to bed!” My father yelled, it was only 3pm and she was just trying to finish up the leftover work that she had to get down for class. Her eyes landed on that bottle as she wished she had the courage to rip that bottle from her father’s hands and throw it out the window.

Instead of arguing with her drunk father, she gather her stuff and headed into her room, slowly closing the door behind her.

Before she knew it, her father had swang her bedroom door open, startling her as her stuff fell to the floor.

“Don’t turn your back on me, you listen and answer me!” He shouted again and raised his fist, throwing a punch at her.

She winced in pain as she held her hurt cheek, more tears started to fall as this wasn’t the first time he’s done something to his, but it was never more than just a slap. She froze on the ground as she covered herself from his beatings and kickings.

Once he was down, he left her alone, on the floor, bleeding from his beatings. She tried to sit up, but wince in pain before she could. She didn’t understand why. It had only been 7 months since her mother’s death, but what she had been going through, make it seem that it had been a lifetime that she has been going through this.

She pulled herself up, after waiting for the pain to go down, grabbing her backpack and grabbing a few things that she needed before opening her window and sneaking out.
She was greatful for living in a trailer park and knew exactly what to do. She headed down the second street of their trailer park and slowly walked down to Mrs. Humble’s house.

She would always remember the times that her mother used to go down to Mrs. Humble’s house to help her with grocery shopping, cleaning her house, and spending time with her and her husband, and when they heard the news about her mother passing, they were heartbroken.

Mrs. Humble also knew her since she was a baby and treater her just like one of her own grandchildren, giving her presents and teaching her new things, she enjoyed her more than her mother’s presence.

She now stood outside of the Humble’s house, their porch light had just gone on and she could see through the window, Mr. Humble watching T.V. in his chair, as he was working on his crossword puzzles. Then she looked over and next to him was Mrs. Humble, knitting away at another blanket, which were always a favorite of hers to make.

Slowly, she approached the door, but once she rang the door bell, she saw Mrs. Humble opened the door and her eyes watered as she saw her fall into their house.

“Gary! It’s Linsey! Call 911!” Mrs. Humble yelled as she held her in her arms, rocking her back and forth.

Linsey woke up in a hospital room, Mr. and Mrs. Humble were in the room with her, and they ran to the side of the bed as her eyes fluttered open. “Linsey, how you feeling?” Mrs. Humbled asked as Linsey just shrugged. “We need to tell you something, dear.”

Linsey nodded as Mrs. Humble held her hand carefully. “They arrested your father for what he did.” Once Mrs. Humble told her what happen, Linsey was heartbroken. As much as what her father did to her was inexcusable, she didn’t want loose him too.

Linsey tried to speak, but nothing was coming out, she didn’t understand. “Dear, your father did a lot damage to your voicebox, it looks like you may have lost your voice. I’m so sorry, dear.”

She was so angry and sad at what the events had occured, but the one thing she hated more, was that bottle of liquor that had started it all.

Unforgotten – Chapter 36

If you haven’t read Chapter 35, here is the link:

Logan’s P.O.V.

“It’s up.” Aunt Marie said as Dean and I focused together on the farmhouse that Lucas was keeping Athena. “Yes, it’s up.”

I took a deep breath and focused inside the farmhouse. I grew with anger when I saw what was happening to my sister. It took so much of me to not want to break from this forcefield to go after Lucas.

I had to focus, Dad was going in there to get her out. I looked over at Dean, as I knew he read my thoughts, I could see the pain in his eyes as he saw what I saw. It truly broke my heart to know that someone, who loved my sister just as much as I did, understood this family burden and pain.

“Now!” James shouted as Dean and I focused our magic onto each other, chanting.

We were creating a spell that would prevent my father from getting hurt, with anything. Let’s just hope we are able to keep the spell going.

Athena’s P.O.V.

“Let’s make this quick, it won’t be much longer that someone comes for her.” The man, that looked like a preacher said. Opening the book and clearing his throat.

I felt very funny, everything I did and felt was slow and wavey like I was about to fall asleep. I didn’t feel like myself, let alone, I wasn’t sure how I was still standing up still.

“Yeah, yeah.” I heard Lucas said, as he pulled out his phone and dialing a number. “Glen, make sure that the car is ready to go. Once we make it official, we’ve got to go.” As he hung up the phone and walked over to me.

Giving me that same evil grin, he held my hand, squeezing it tightly as I tried to pull away. “You are mine, dollface.”

I tried to speak something, but I wasn’t able to. I wanted to say something, anything that would get this all to end sooner.

“I’m just gonna skip on to the I do’s.” He looked over at Lucas, “Do you take this woman to be your wife?”

“I do, just like I would’ve with your mother.” He said, I just wanted to throw up.

“Do you take this man to be your husband?” The preacher asked, but nothing was able to come out of my mouth, I tried, but I wasn’t even able to manage any moments. I didn’t know what the hell Lucas gave me, but I felt like I was a zombie.

“Of course she does, she’s speechless.” Lucas filled it, as I glared at him. Before the preacher could rap up, the door busted down open, with my father and Eli walking through it.

“Give me my daughter back, now.” My father spoke as Lucas held up a knife to my throat, slowly, I started to have feeling in my legs.

“You took Jade away from me, Tanner, now it’s your turn to lose everything you have ever had!” Lucas said before I felt the pain coming from my neck. “One more move and she’s dead.”

“You really think you’ll kill the one thing that reminds you of Jade?” My father snapped at him as I started to wiggle my feet. “You never had Jade, to begin with, Lucas. You ever had and you never will so let my daughter go before I end your miserable life.”

I then took my right leg and slammed my foot onto his toe. He released me from his grasp, but before I could turn away, I felt a sharp pain on the side of my stomach, as I dropped to the ground, moaning in pain.

“I didn’t mean to do it!” I watched as Lucas held his hands in the air, trying to come forward to me, but my father had shot in the head with a crossbow.

Eli rushed to my side, as I felt the blood gushing out of my body. I started to feel weaker and weaker before my eyes felt like closing.

“No! No, no! I’m not going to lose you again!” I heard my father say as I felt lifeless from my body.

____________________________________________________________

Marie’s P.O.V.

“It’s over, he’s dead,” I said as Dean and Logan relaxed and ended their forcefield. Tanner had texted me to let me know that Lucas was gone, but didn’t mention anything about Athena, which I’m hoping she was okay, but the vibe I was feeling, something didn’t seem right.

“Elle, why do you have the healing stuff out, no one’s,” I paused for a second when I realized that something was wrong, something was very wrong. I gathered more supplies as I entered the healing room.

“Marie, I’ll take care of it,” Elle said, as James’ rushed into the room.

“She’s coming, it’s not good,” James spoke as I threw my hands up and started to cry.

It was completely my fault that Athena got hurt. It was my idea to free Lucas to get back at Jade. I was a horrible human being for that. James came over and wrapped his arms around me. I pushed him away, I wanted to see what my actions did. I wanted to remember this.

I wanted to look back on what I’ve done, if she dies, I’ll lose my family for good.

“Let’s go, you shouldn’t see her like this,” James said as I saw them approach with Athena. My brother was carrying her, they had tried to patch her up, but she was wearing a bloody old wedding dress, that Elle had cut her free of.

“It’s my fault, James!” I yelled at him. Tanner placed Athena down as he stood over the side of his daughter’s lifeless body.

“Stay with me, Athena, please, stay with daddy.” He whispered in her ear as I watched him hold onto his daughter’s hand.

Elle then looked up at everyone. “Everyone needs to leave me to do my work if you want her to survive.” Once she spoke those words, I looked over at Tanner and mouthed the words, “I’m sorry,” As I left the room.

I was gonna make sure Athena was going to live. I looked over at James and pushed him away. “I need to be alone.” I snapped at him as I went back into my room.

I didn’t want him to be here for what I was about to do. As soon as I closed the door behind him, I cried, even more, rubbing my swollen belly. “I’m so sorry, but I have to make sure she lives, little one.”

Off The Record (Friday’s Short Stories)

Off The Record

Hey Dearies! This one is another romatic short story, but more about rich people, got the idea from one of the many books I read on Wattpad, but with this one, I almost wanted to make it into a book! Who knows, I might, but enjoy!

She’s working her way to the top the only way a woman can in this business: by being absolutely ruthless, heartless, and six times as tough as the men. But when one of those men, an underling, begins to soften her heart, she panics. Will she take their relationship off the books? Or take the “safe” path and send him away?

Allie Jaques never expected to fall in love, especially with someone that she had been partners with for years. She had been running her father’s business since he had passed, 3 years ago. Even though she was never close with him, she bravely took on his entire corporation.

After her mother had been out of the picture, as soon as she turned 16, she had been completely on her own and was doing just fine, that was until her father’s personal assistant, Carol Briggs came to her and told her about her father. She didn’t know what to say or how to feel but took the position.

She’s had her heart broken before, as she had dappled in mixing business with pleasure, but when he wanted to start a family, things ended on bad terms as Allie wanted to focus on building up that small little store. In other words, when the opportunity came around with the position, she gladly took it to get away from her ex.

“Alright gentleman, that will be all.” She spoke as she ended the meeting, gathering her paperwork as the others left the room, all, but Mr. Devin Wells. He was another parter that his father had sign on before he passed, but to Allie, it was nice to know someone who didn’t know her father quite as well as the other partners.

She felt his eyes on him, as she always has. Watching her every move, she loved it when the attention was on her, but Mr. Wells makes her want to do unspeakable things to her. She had been dreaming about it and thinking about it for months, how his touch would feel, how he would please her.

It made her blush just thinking about it, but she couldn’t have history repeat itself. She didn’t want to mix her business with his pleasure, but she couldn’t stop herself. As she kept gathering the papers, she was relieved to see her assistant come in. “Ms. Jaques? You have a call on the line, they say it’s about the meeting for tonight.” Helen said as she walked in.

“I’ll be right there, can you take these and schedule another meeting for next week?” She asked as Helen nodded, taking the paperwork from her hands and leaving the room.

As she was about to head out the door, Mr. Wells stopped her in her tracks. Placing his arm in front of her and turning his head to face her.

“Is there something you need, Mr. Wells?” Allie asked her heart started to beat faster when his eyes looked at hers.

“I’d like to talk to you, over dinner.” He said, smiling, as Allie couldn’t believe what he was finally asking. Allie wanted to jump to say yes, but her mind reminded her about what happened with her ex.

“Sorry, I don’t do dinner dates.” She smirked as she rejected him. He smirked back, but placed his arm down, letting her walk out and she headed towards her office.

Once she got in, she sat at her desk and dropped the papers all over her desk, putting her hands on her forehead. She had to say strong, she didn’t want her heart to control her life, as it once did.

She also didn’t want her needs to get in the middle of the business’s needs. It was hard enough that she had rejected men before, but there was something different about this one. She couldn’t put her finger on why she wanted to catch his attention.

Allie ended up staying up until she was about to head to the dinner meeting she had with two of the biggest clients. She needed her focus to be on making sure they wanted to sign again for the next 5 years on being partners with the company.

Helen had knocked and entered her office, holding her dry cleaning and placed it on her mini couch. “The limo will be here in 10 minutes, Ms. Jaques. Is there anything else you need for me to do?” She smiled, holding her hands perfectly together.

She had been with the company as long as my father had and she had been nothing, but sweet to Allie. Always making sure she had everything she needed, even staying longer to make sure things were completed before going home to her family.

I returned the smile as I got up from my desk. “Thank you, Helen. I can handle the rest, go home and see your family. Say him to Thomas for me.” Helen smiled and nodded.

“Thank you, I will. Have a good night, Ms. Jaques.” She said as she left the office.

Allie quickly got dressed and did some of her makeup, making sure it wasn’t too much. She then took the pins from her hair and let it fall to hang on her shoulders. Her hair was naturally curly, which made it easier for her.

Quickly grabbing her purse and heading down to the limo that was waiting for her. As the limo arrived at Romana Restaurant, she got a text message from Helen.

‘Mr. Klans canceled, but the other partner will be there, Mr. Wells.’

Allie’s face flushed as she entered the restaurant to see Mr. Wells, standing at the front of the restaurant, waiting to get seated at a table. Her first reaction was to turn away, she then remembers that she did have plans with Mr. Wells and Mr. Klans tonight.

She’s couldn’t cancel, she needed Mr. Wells to be convinced to stay for another few more years. She needed this partnership just as Mr. Wells needed it. Taking a deep breath, she composed herself and headed towards Mr. Wells.

“Ms. Jaques, a pleasure to see you again.” Mr. Wells said as a waitress was ready to seat us. He held out his hand, as she shook it. She watched as he eyed her up and down. She pulled away from his grasp and looked at him.

“Same with you.” Allie quickly said as they followed the waitress to a closed area for meetings. As they sat down, they ordered some drinks and looked over the menus. It was silent after the waitress left, but Allie was so hungry, she didn’t bother will a casual conversation like she normally did.

“It’s nice to finally get you alone to me.” Mr. Wells spoke as the waitress came back with their drinks, she quickly took a sip of wine and ordered their food. Once the waitress took their menu’s and left, Allie thought of what to say to him.

“This is just business, Mr. Wells. Nothing more.” She stated, but he chuckled at the response she had, places his elbows on the table, holding his hands together.

“Or so you think.” He then took a sip of his drink. “Why don’t we just call each other by our first names, Allison.”

When he said her full name, she had chills running up her back just thinking about it. She shook her head, telling herself to focus on the task at hand, making sure he’s still a partnership.

“Stop messing around, Devin. Let me get to the point, are you going to stay as a partner or no?” She snapped as he started to laugh again. She took a sip of her wine and waited for an answer.

“Let’s put business aspect aside for once, Allie. That’s all we ever talk about.” Devin spoke as our food came to us and placed it in front of us.

“Because that is all we will ever talk about is business,” Allie spoke with a straight face, hoping that Devin wouldn’t keep on this much longer.

“Is that you ever think about is work?” He asked as she finished her glass of wine. She was about done with this meeting. She got the waitresses attention and had her box her food. When she came back, she grabbed her food and got up from the table.

“Thank you for your time, but if you aren’t going to take this seriously, I’ll be on my way,” Allie said, but before she could leave the room, Devin had pushed her up against the wall, holding her hands above her head. “What are you doing?” She asked.

“Something we have been wanting to do for a long time.” He said as he leaned in and pressed his lips against hers.

It was so exciting for her, she hadn’t been kissed in a long time, but with Devin, she didn’t want it to stop. He dropped her hands, as they fell onto his chest, making them wander all over his body. He held his hands at her waist as they kept kissing passionately.

He pulled away, leaning his forehead on Allie’s and smirked. “Why did you stop?” Allie asked as they both stopped to catch their breath.

“If I kept going, I don’t think I would be able to stop.” He said as Allie adjected herself.

She couldn’t believe that just happened, instead of dealing with the awkwardness of the situation, she got up and left. Caught a cab and went home.

Allie decided to get ready for bed, when she got to her penthouse apartment, changing in a simple tank top and shorts. She then looked everywhere for her phone, until she realized that she had left it there at the restaurant, along with her purse and food.

All of a sudden, after she made herself a quick cup of tea, there was a knock at the door. It was 10 o’clock at night and she wasn’t expecting anyone. As she opened the door, Devin Wells was standing there when her phone, purse, and food in his hands.

“You left and forgot these. I figured you would need them.” He said, handing her stuff, as she placed them on her kitchen counter.

“Thank you, I was about to call the restaurant-,” Before she finished her sentence, he had caught her off guard by kissing her once again. She threw her hands in his hair, as he lifted her on her counter. She pulled away from his lips. “We can’t do this.” She whispered to him.

“But we can.” He said, kissing her lips once more, and then placing kisses up and down her neck. “What’s the harm?”

“What the hell,” Allie kissed him back as he embraced her in his arms.

After that night, they kept their contact but making sure that their business wasn’t in the mix of their pleasure. The agreement they had made sure that they were nothing more than just friends with benefits, but after a few months, Allie could help, but start to have feelings for him.

She didn’t want to tell him, knowing how their agreement was, she didn’t want to change it, but the longer they were together, the more she wanted to make it permanent.

Allie had just gotten out of work and headed straight home, she was expecting Devin to come over, but canceled plans with him. She was on her period and didn’t want to deal with him. As she got home, Devin was in her penthouse, cooking dinner. He had a key, but that was whenever she wanted a late-night booty call.

She never expected this. “What are you doing here?” She asked as he smiled. Devin never really came over when it was her time of the month and it surprised her that he was even here, although, the last time she was on her period, he ended up buying her chocolates.

The food smelled too good, as she watched him prepare a simple stuffed shells recipe. “I was in the mood to cook and didn’t want to eat alone, so I figured I’ve cooked for us.” He said as he poured me a glass of wine.

“This seems extra than just friends with benefits, Devin,” Allie spoke, as she took a sip of her wine.

“Is that a problem?” He asked. She didn’t know how to answer, but she didn’t want to overstay her welcome of their agreement. She loved the fact that he was spoiling her like such, but didn’t want this to be too good to be true and ruin it all.

“I don’t know, is it for you?” She asked as he shook his head no.

“Not at all, but there is something I need to ask you.” He said as he placed the food into the oven and throwing a towel over his shoulder. “Didn’t know if you wanted to come with me to a charity event, it’s sort of like a ball and I don’t want to hire a date, like I did last time.”

“Oh,” She said, as she wasn’t sure if she would want to go to a ball, but it was exciting to be asked. “Wouldn’t that be weird if I went? It would kinda make us a couple in the public eye, you know.”

He walked over to her and smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist, looking down into her eyes. “What if we were?” He asked. Allie’s heart raised, she didn’t know what to say. “Look, I know we had an agreement about us just sleeping together, but I want more with us. I don’t just want to be the person you lay with, I want to be the person you want to grow old with.”

The words he was saying were too good to be true, but then that voice in her head reminded her that he was still her business partner and didn’t know what would happen if they had become a couple. Would her father’s hard work be gone? Would the business crumble? Or would the partners drop her father’s company?

She had so many questions of what if’s that she was more worried about how other’s would think, instead of how she would think if they became something more. She was afraid of history repeating itself but more afraid to take that chance.

Allie and Devin ate in silent and as soon as they were both done, he left, not even giving her a kiss goodbye, like he normally does. All she told him as she wasn’t sure, which turned into another argument.

It was the night of the charity ball, Allie was debating ongoing, but since she was formally invited and it was for a children’s charity for orphans, she didn’t want to miss it. She hadn’t talked to Devin for months, and the only times that they did was when they had their weekly meetings.

As she was looking in her closet, she was trying to decide what to wear when Helen walked into the room, standing in the doorway wearing a black fine mermaid gown.

“The limo is here, Ms. Jaques. And I just want to say, thank you again for inviting me and my husband.”

I smiled. “No problem at all, I figured that a night out from the kids would be good for you too.”

Helen walked over and gave her a hug. Then she turned to the closet to pull out a sliver diamond dress that was tight-fitting at the top til the waist and then it was looser towards more of the bottom. “I think this one would look good on you,” Helen said and Allie agreed.

Without question about the dress Helen chose, Allie quickly got dressed and braided the sides of her hair, still having her long naturally curly hair fall to her sides.

Once they got to the charity event, Allie made sure to pledge her donation and then grabbed a glass of champagne, taking a sip and looking around the ballroom, her eyes were looking to catch Devin, but she couldn’t seem to find them.

But Helen and her husband, caught her eye, they were dancing together, Allie smiled as she saw how happy they were. Allie wished she would have that one day, but after what happened with Devin, she never thought she would find someone like him again.

As much as she didn’t want to admit it, she really missed him. She missed not talking to him, missed spending time with him, and mostly just missed his presence.

“Enjoying the view,” Devin spoke, as he stood next to her, holding a glass of champagne as well.

“I thought you weren’t talking to me.” Allie snapped, as she didn’t know why he was talking to her. She thought that he was still upset with her.

“I’ve talked to you,” Devin said, taking a sip of his champagne. “How about a dance?” He asked as he took both of their champagnes and placed them on the table.

Devin and Allie danced, moving around the ballroom floor with the others. “Why haven’t you returned my calls?” Devin whispered in her ear.

“I didn’t think you wanted to talk to me,” Allie said, looking up at him. He pushed a piece of her hair behind her ear.

“I always want to talk to you, Allison. Why can’t we be together?” He asked as she smiled. She wanted to be with him, but all she could think about was the business.

“I just don’t know. I worry about the business. I don’t want our public relationship to interfere with the business.” Allie explained, but Devin just smiled.

“If anything, it will grow.” He said as he twirled her around. “So, what do you say?”

She only took a minute to think about it before placing a kiss on his lips. She was ready for her happiness to start and she didn’t care about how everyone would feel about it, she was ready to start the next chapter.

After they came out to the public about their relationship, Devin was right, the business grows and they ended up combining both of their businesses into one giant one. After all that, Allie finally had the happy ending she deserved.

Rewriting My Story (Friday’s Short Stories)

Rewriting My Story

Hey Dearies! So, this one is about heartbreak and how it is to start all over after a relationship ends. Hope you all like it! Let me know in the comments!

A woman who is deeply in love is crushed when her fiancé breaks up with her. “In life, every ending is just a new beginning,” says Dakota Fanning’s character in Uptown Girls.

Natalia never thought she would have to start all over again, but after being crushed by the love of her life, she didn’t know what to do or where to start. It was so unexpected, but she still didn’t understand why.

Collin Mather was someone she never expected to fall in love with, but she did. Having met him freshman year of high school, he was apart of the baseball team and hockey, always busy with sports that she was surprised that he had time with her.

They met at one of the home games of his, Natalia was a reporter for the school newspaper and since no one else that day wanted to go to the baseball game, she ended up going. Natalia never minded sitting by and watching the sports games, as long as she got the score and a little bit of the action, she would be set.

She watched as Collin stepped up to the plate, getting ready to swing his bat, it was the end of the game, as Natalia watched intently as he glared at the pitcher. They needed this win to be in the school finals, they were tied with the other team and just needed a home run.

Natalia sat on the edge of her seat as she wanted Collin to hit the home run, she needed this article to be on the front paper before school. The writing was always her passion, but she wanted to be more than just a side-stage reporter, she wanted to be apart of something huge, and her school winning to go to the finals was what she was waiting for.

The pitcher threw the ball and Collin’s bat hit the ball, as he threw it to the ground and ran as fast as he could to first base. The ball was way out in the field, too far for the outfielders to catch it as he hit first base and ran to second.

Before they even managed to get the ball, Collin They needed this win to be in the school finals, they were tied with the other team and just needed a home run.\nNatalia sat on the edge of her seat as she wanted Collin to hit the home run, she needed this article to be on the front paper before school. Collin smiled as Natalia felt her cheeks get warmed, she had never had a crush before. “Natalia, isn’t it?” Collin asked as she nodded.

Joyce came back with the extra copies of the paper as Natalia handed one of them to Collin, as she returned the smile. “I’ll see you around,” Collin said, as he started heading down the hall.

The Art of Love (Friday’s Short Stories)

The Art of Love

Hey Dearies! I know this one is a little late, but I wanted to make sure I took a little extra time on this one. It’s not exactly like the prompt, but I did add in a little twist of it.

Two dirt-poor art students survive by sharing a nasty little apartment above a bodega. They struggle through four years, barely making ends meet, comforting one another through tragedies and triumph, but never openly admit how they feel about each other…until they graduate, and one of them gets a job in another city. Is it too late to confess their love?

Living in New York City wasn’t easy, let alone being a paint. Jackie Brown wanted to see her name on every billboard, street store, and all over New York. Since she was 3, that was always her dream.

Her father was a famous painter himself, as so as her mother. Once they had her, Jackie’s mother felt that her child was holding her back from becoming famous and so let Jackie and her husband to New York.

Last time Jackie saw her mother, was 10 years ago. Now, she was 23, fresh from college and off to make her hobby into her dream, however, New York was expensive. Jackie’s father wanted to come with her, to make sure her dreams really did come true, but Jackie didn’t want her father to help her on that journey.

She wanted this one by herself.

After being in New York for a few days, she managed to find a place for her to stay in. Kenny Hunt was her only available option, especially with money being so tight, she didn’t want to be left on the streets.

Climbing up to the 3rd floor, onto an old book store, she knocked onto the door, with the faded ‘3C’ that sat on an old wooden door. After a minute or two, the door finally opened with Kenny behind it.

“Jackie, right?” He asked.

“Yes.” She nodded, giving him a soft smile as he opened the door more for her to come in. “Thank you again for this.”

She turned to face him, looking at his dirty blond hair and bright blue eyes. As she gazed into his eyes, he looked like he was hurt inside, like someone has ripped his heart out from his body and stuffed it in a trash can.

Kenny turned away, walking back to his canvas, ignoring her. As she looked around, she notices this was a very old room, it was a room that didn’t look like it was used for sleeping at all. The wide-open space had faded, cracked dark wooden floors. The paint used for the walls was faded and looked like there once were mirrors that inclosed the place.

As she turned to her left, there was a mini hall, looked like there were a few other rooms and hopefully a bathroom. Behind her was a stove, sink, and fridge that looked out of place from this room, but more than an old dance studio was out of place for any of this.

She didn’t see any mattresses or beds for her, in the opened space. Instead, the opened spaces were covered with canvases, paint, and brushes. It was like heaven to Jackie, making this choice the best one she had made for herself.

“Where can I put my stuff?” She asked, as his blue eyes looked up from the canvas.

“Down the hall to the right. Just don’t go into my room.” Kenny snapped as he went back to painting. Jackie was curious to know what he was painted but instead went to put her stuff away.

After being there for a few weeks, Jackie got herself comfortable, but Kenny seemed to rather ignore her. She had tried to work up the courage to place an empty canvas on one of the many empty easels, but hadn’t.

Brushstroke after brushstroke, she watched him from afar, not wanting her to see her eyes on him, she watched him move the brush back and forth like it was a dance he knew how to dance. Not to mention she couldn’t help but notice his arms had a few tattoos, but the one that caught her eye the most was the tree tattoo inside his left arm.

She wanted to ask him about it, it was the only one that she had noticed that was fairly new to his body, as the other tattoos he had were more faded. It took her a minute to realize that the tattoo was the tree from Lord of the Rings.

She got up and walked out of her room and slowly approached Kenny. He looked up for a second but turned away back to his piece. As she got closer, she noticed that his painting wasn’t of any object or item, that she thought it was, it was simply a mess of different colors of blacks and greys.

It was different from what her parents have painted before, but they were more into landscapes, such as mountains, hills, forests, and lakes. This was solid, but it spoke to her that something in his past had made him paint this way.

“What?” Kenny snapped, jumping Jackie, as she was zoned into his piece, rather than him.

“I-I was wondering if could use that spare easel?” She spoke nervously, she wanted to ask about his tree tattoo, but she had forgotten it, getting lost in his eyes.

Kenny changed his emotion, looked rather more confused like he didn’t think she would ask something from him so bold. “You paint too?” He asked as she nodded.

“I do, my parents do, too.” She said as he looked at her.

“Go for it.” He said, going back to his easel. Jackie was so enlightened that she ran to grab her supplies and set them up next to the easel.

Over the next couple of months, the started to bond over their love of painting and art. As much as they wanted to spend all of their time painting, Kenny had a part-time job down at the book store and Jackie had just gotten a job as a florist, that was also down the street.

Jackie had just finished her latest creation, it was of a couple, standing in the middle of the rain, sharing a deep kiss, with the background having rainfall underneath them all, not giving a care in the world as to what would happen.

It reminded her of her last love, that were that couple she painted. He had her heart, but she didn’t want it. She had gotten pregnant, but ended up losing the baby, which changed their relationship although. He wanted to settle down and build a giant family, as Jackie just wanted to paint and when she was ready, start a family.

That was their last kiss goodbye. They didn’t want to hold each other back and wanted to have one last kiss before they moved onto different lifestyles. Hence, why she wanted to leave New York.

Kenny came over, as she signed off of her painting. “Incredible, really.” He touched her shoulder as she watched him look into every detail she put into the painting. “What are going to call it?”

Jackie took a minute to think about it, coming up with the titles of her paintings was harder than it was for her parents. “Not sure yet.” Still admiring her work.

She glanced at Kenny’s easel, he had just a blank canvas, naked, as Jackie liked to call it. Ever since she started to paint in the same room as him, his painting has changed from dark and depression, to more artistic and creative, making them more appealing to the eye.

Her heart fluttered each time he would come up to her and watched her paint, as she would do the same. She had tried to open him and get him to talk to her, but he was a locked door, not letting anyone in.

That all changed. Jackie was working at her job when she got a phone call from the office from her mother. She wanted to let her know she was dying from cancer. That was the real reason why she left in the first place, she didn’t want Jackie to see her.

Jackie’s heart dropped as she got off the phone, it all made sense, she wondered why her father was always upset and depressed, but she thought it was because her mother had left, choosing her work over the family when really she was getting treatment for her breast cancer.

After work, when she got home, she didn’t say anything to Kenny, as he watched as she sadly went into her bedroom. She wasn’t in the mood to talk, didn’t even feel like painting, which was a first for her because she had always loved to paint.

“Jackie?” Kenny called out, but there was no reply from her, he didn’t want to intrude. It made him worry about her. Her happy self was what was keeping him inspired to paint masterpieces ever since his little sister had passed away.

Instead of answering Kenny, she curled herself up in a ball on her mattress and started to cry. There was nothing she could do, but felt like she needed to do something. She wanted to go to her happy place, but painting sounded so foreign to her.

She felt Kenny’s eyes on her like he was drilling a laser into her head. As much as she wanted Kenny’s attention, there was something more that she wanted. A distraction.

Siting up from her bed, she looked over at Kenny, as he sat on the bed beside her, gazing at his blue eyes, but her eyes wandered to his lips. “Is everything okay?” He asked, but instead of answering him, she leaned into his faces and pressed her lips against his.

Kenny froze for a second, not realizing that her lips were upon his, he didn’t know how to react, but before he could embrace the kiss, she had pulled away. Kenny’s mind was questioning if he should kiss her back or leave the room awkwardly.

Jackie looked back at him, waiting for his response, but his face looked confused. Did she kiss him wrong? She thought, but maybe it was too sudden for him, she thought again.

Until he caught her off guard and very slowly placed his lips together with hers.

She was lost into the moment, embracing Kenny’s warmth that she so craved, however, instead of taking their clothes off to get further lost into each other’s arms, they both laid down on her bed, and had him embrace her, snuggling up close together and making her feel something that she hadn’t felt in a long time.

Safe.

As he brushed a strand of hair from her face, she finally spoke, telling him about her mother and her condiction.

“Go to her, you should spend your last moments together,” Kenny spoke, as much as it killed him to see her go, not knowing how long she would be gone for or if she would ever come back, he didn’t want to miss out on those final moments that he did with his sister.

“I can’t, I don’t have the money,” Jackie said as he understood her situation, he was in the same boat, being an inspiring artist wasn’t easy. He had been doing odd jobs, just to save up for an apartment, but it was never enough.

The next morning, Jackie was left alone in her bed, Kenny had stayed with her all night long, just to make sure she was okay, but he wasn’t next to her. She got up and started getting ready for the day, when she saw a note on the fridge, with enough money to get her to see her mother and possibly come back.

‘Don’t miss another moment away from your mother. You’ll regret it in the end.’ – Kenny

She smiled, as he was right. Quickly, she packed a few things and took the train to the other side of town, trying to make sure she was able to get to the hospital in time. Once she arrived, she was greeted by her father.

He hugged her tightly in his arms. “I missed you, buttercup.” He said, calling her by her childhood nickname. He started calling her that when she picked out some flowers from their garden and they happened to be buttercups.

Jackie didn’t want to let go from her father’s embrace, but slowly turned to look into the small hospital room, she could see her mother, looking pain and cold.

Her eyes started to water as he came closer to her mother’s bed, she was still alive but looked like she was barely holding on. “Mommy?” She spoke, making her mother awake and open her eyes to see her daughter.

Jackie came closer to her mother and hugged her tightly as she could, she was so weak, but was glad her daughter was sitting next to her. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.” Her mother spoke, as she held onto Jackie’s hand.

“Don’t worry about it, what matters is that I’m here for you,” Jackie said, kissing her mother’s hand and wiping her tears.

Jackie shared everything that was going on in her life, now. She even talked about Kenny, to her surprise, her mother said that he would be perfect for her. They played a few games, up until her mother was too weak to do so.

She died 2 months later after their last game of Uno. The last thing Jackie told her was to never give on chasing your dreams. Jackie knew she would never forget, but it made her think about Kenny. He was her new dream now, she needed to share her life with someone and he was perfect for her.

After the funeral, she said her last goodbyes to her father and headed back on the train, even though her mother had passed, she was wanting to get back to Kenny and to tell him how she felt about him.

Going up to their apartment, she was worried that he wouldn’t want to talk to her, after taking the money he gave to her to see her dying mother, but maybe he would. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door, watching Kenny stand in the middle of the studio, painting, he almost dropped his paintbrush when he saw her.

Jackie dropped her bag, and ran to him, embracing into his arms, not caring if he was covered in paint or not. She looked into his eyes and the waterworks just came down. He understood her pain as to lose something, but kept her in his arms.

“I missed you so much, Jackie. You have no idea.” He said, looking into Jackies eyes, wiping away the tears from her face, as he turned to face her to all the work he had done when she was gone. It was all pictures of her.

One of them was when she was puzzled on painting and ended up getting paint on her face. Another was of her dancing. The more she kept looking at the paintings, she realized that he returned the feelings for her, but there was one painting that caught her eye.

It was a painting of them, laying on her bed together, after their first kiss and how she told him about her mother. She didn’t know how he did it, but it was perfect. “I love this one,” Jackie said as Kenny came closer.

“Not as much as I love you,” Kenny spoke as Jackie stared at him in amazement. “I understand if you don’t return the feelings, but I do love you and I just needed to tell you.”

Jackie then pressed her lips against his, embracing his presence and telling him that she accepted his feelings for her. She pulled away, leaning their foreheads together as she smiled. “I love you too.”

Katie’s Blog Schedule for 2020

Hey Dearies! I know I’ve been a little late with the beginning of this year, but I wanted to give you another post for what to expect on my blog for 2020!

I know I haven’t been as active as I would like to be, but I’ve planned out a yearly schedule that should change that for this year. If you don’t already know, I’m currently enrolled in college and with that going on and being home with a 2 year, things can get crazy, but I’m going to try my best to stay on task as much as I can!

Make sure you are following me on my Facebook page, I’ll have more of my updates posted on there!

Alright, let’s get this started!

  • Monday’s – Unforgotten
    • I’m going to finish Unforgotten and then hopefully, I will have another story up, but it all depends of what I’ve got in my drive for books that I’ve either started or finished.
  • Tuesday’s -Crafty Sassy
    • This one isn’t going anywhere, but I’m going to mix it up with new patterns and new Top 10’s.
    • My Top 10’s will consist of free patterns that I go looking around on Pinterest.
    • I will also be doing a different crochet square a month, for those looking to start crocheting.
    • This year, I’m trying to get into knitting. I’ve been looking into it for a while, but I might be posting on it, depending on how zoned in I get into it.
  • Thursday’s – Gaming
    • This one isn’t set in stone, but I do want to get back into gaming. It helps me take a breather when I have a lot going on.
    • This mostly will be for Sims, Minecraft, and maybe a few others. I might do a gaming review on some other PC classic’s, such as Diner Dash or Fate. I’ll keep you all posted on that as well!
  • Friday’s – Short Stories
    • This is definitely happening for sure! Last year, I had the temperature blanket to do and I didn’t have enough time to get them out when I wanted to, so make sure to keep a close eye on Friday’s!
    • I’ll be using a website, that generates character names, genres, conflicts, etc, at random and turning them into a story! I also have a few prompts from my own as well that I would love to make into a short story.
    • So, if you miss my writings, this will be a guaranteed thing I will post on Friday!
  • Saturday’s – Reviews
    • I have mentioned that I’ve wanted to do reviews for a while, but haven’t had the time. Well, I’m gonna start too! Every Saturday will have a different review, such as Products, Movies, TV Shows, books, etc.
      • Products
        • This review is for anything that has peeked your interest, such as makeup, kitchenware, baby stuff, toys, or anything that you have thought of buying, but want to know if it’s worth it.
      • Movies
        • I love watching movies, especially with my daughter! So, don’t be surprised if you see a few Disney films and such.
        • The only ones you might not see on here will be anything scary. I don’t do horror, nor do I watch it. (Sorry to the horror fans out there!)
        • There will be a mix of Action, Romance, Comedy(Includes some stand-up), Chick Flix, Adventure, and a mix of kid shows as well.
      • TV Shows
        • Now, this one will have a mix of kids shows as well, since a lot of parents or new parents want to know what’s a good list of shows for their kids to watch. Or for yourself, after the kids have gone to bed.
        • Again, I don’t like anything horror-ish stuff, but don’t be shocked if you see The Walking Dead on here, as well.
        • I’m going to try and pick shows that are completely over, but if they are still running, I’ll comment whether I’m still watching it or not.
      • Books
        • My library is getting bigger by the moment and is the perfect time to get into writing reviews!
        • I know I only did one last year, yes only ONE, but I’m planning on changing that. I want to take more time to read and actually FINISH books that I’ve started.
        • There will be all kinds of genres, I’m willing to dip into more Stephen King type novels as well.
        • I will include a few audiobooks, but I live to read the physical book in person and without staring at a screen to read.
      • Random
        • This can be ANYTHING, and when I mean anything, it could be over game systems, apps, crochet stuff, knitting stuff, shoes, clothes, brands, basically anything that doesn’t fit in the categories above.
        • If you would like to request anything, I will have a post on my Facebook Page, asking at the beginning of the month on what you would like me to review.
        • This isn’t going to be an EVERY month review, but I will keep a list of the most popular and go from there!

Now, let’s talk about some other topics that I haven’t mentioned.

Mom Talk

This is still not going anywhere, I’ll be posting these randomly, since I’m currently raising a toddler, at the moment, so there will be a few posts about this stage and such. So, make sure to look out for potty training, how I deal with toddler fits, and so much more.

Sadly, I will be deleting all WWE stuff, since I have stopped watching it. It isn’t something I get as pumped up for anymore, sorry to all the fans that followed me for that. I’ll be removing all posts about it, to make room for newer ones.

Podcast

I’ll be getting rid of my podcasts as well, if you want to listen to them, they will be on my Youtube channel. I lost all motivation to start it back up again since most podcasters have one or more guest on their podcast.

My Youtube Channel

I’ll be working harder to post more stuff, such as gaming, crochet, knitting, etc. Anything of the sort, I will have a day of when I will be posting stuff.

Katie’s Craft Studio’s

Unforgotten – Chapter 31

If you haven’t read Chapter 30, here is the link:

https://katiesblog96971617.com/2019/09/30/unforgotten-chapter-30/

Athena’s P.O.V.
As I looked around, I saw everyone partying, the house looked familiar as I walked around and noticed the photos on the walls. My heart dropped, they were my mother. I ran to find the nearest mirror. As I looked, I saw the vision of my mother, standing before me.

I must be dreaming. Something isn’t right.

“Jade, where are you?” I heard a female voice call as I left the bathroom, I bumped right into her. “There you are! We are about to go for a drive, you wanna come?” She asked as I wasn’t sure how to answer, but before I could, my body went after and spoke for me.

“No, I think I’m just gonna go in my room,” I said as she gave me a soft smile.

“Well, let me know if you change your mind.” She gave me a hug. “Love you, sis.” As she turned back into the living room, back to where the party was.
Sister? That must of been my aunt.

My body started moving towards a room, it was a pretty purple bedroom, as my head turned, I noticed the books that I couldn’t ever forget. My mother’s journals.

Before I can go to reach for them, a guy stopped me, shutting the bedroom door and smirking at me. “I’ve been wondering when I would get a chance to be alone with you.”
________________________________________________________________________________
I inhaled and sat right up, I kept breathing fast as I looked around my surroundings. I was in my cottage, I looked over and saw Dean next to me. “Thank god, your awake.” He gave me a hug. “I missed you so much.”

Missed me so much? How long was I out?

I hugged him back, his scent calmed me as I held on to him longer. I pulled away from his grasp and pulled his face into mine as I kissed his lips, wanting to make sure that I wasn’t still dreaming.

Once the kiss ended, I sighed in relief. Then I realized the one thing that worried me. Logan.

I scrambled to get up, but Dean stopped me from doing so. “Easy, what do you want to know?”

“Logan is the-” Dean interrupted me.

“Logan is fine, the real question is are you fine?” Dean asked as I was confused. I felt fine, but something changed about me. “You were out longer than Logan was, about a week.”
I was asleep for a week?

“I’m so confused, the last thing I remember is touching Logan and then drifting into a past memory of my mother,” I explained as I looked over to see my father standing in the doorway.

“Logan did, too. He was in James’ past memory.” He said, handing me a glass of water.

“Here, let me let the others know that you are awake.” Dean said as he kissed my forehead and left my room.
___________________________________________________________________________________
After I ate, showered and got dressed, I met up with everyone in the hall. My father ran out of Logan’s hall and towards us, holding his phone in hand. “It’s him.” He said, as I felt scared and unsure what his next move was going to be next.

“Hello, Athena and of course Logan.” His voice said as I trembled with fear. “I’m just letting you know that I know exactly where you are and I’m taking you both as well as your mother. I’ve waited too long for my family back.”

“I’ve already lost my wife, there is no way in hell you are taking my children,” Dad said as I could see the angry in his eyes, especially what he has done to mom and our aunt.

The line went silent as he hung up.

“I don’t care if I go to jail, but I’m killing him.” He said as he walked off. James looked over at Aunt Marie as she went after our father.

James looked at me and frowned. “I’m guessing you know the truth.” I nodded as he wrapped his arms around me. He pulled away and smiled. “I promise that you won’t go through the same thing your mother went through.”

Logan grabbed my hand and looked at me. “Come on, let’s talk.” He said, directing us towards his hall. He seemed different but calmer.

When we finally got into his hall, he sat down on one of the white porch chairs that were in front of his home. As I sat down, he faced the ocean, watching the waves back and forth along the beach.

“I now have a better understanding of James.” Logan looked over at me, holding out two bracelets in his hand, one pink and one blue. He handed me the pink bracelet. “James was headed over to the party and got into an accident. Lucas ran into him on purpose and made sure that he hit Mandy’s side.”

I held his hand, but he pulled away from my grasp. “You don’t understand, Athena, he wasn’t in love with Mom, but with her sister. They were together behind Lucas’ back and when he caught them, he decided that if he couldn’t have Mandy to himself, he would replace her with our mother.”

“That doesn’t make any sense, James and her told each other everything, he would’ve told her,” I said, can’t believe any of this.

“Mom loved James and he knew that if he were to choose her sister over her, she would never forgive him. Not to mention, James had enough shit going on at home, his father was beating him. Especially that night.” He explained as it didn’t make sense.

I stayed silent as I looked over the bracelet, there was a golden M charm that hung from it. “Where did you get these?”

“James had them. He wanted me to show you,” As he handed me the other bracelet where a gold ‘J’ charm hung from that one. “He bought them almost a year before Mandy died.” It made me think about what my aunt would’ve been like if she was still alive, but she wasn’t.

Looking back that the bracelets, I was tired of this problem, people getting killed and the ones they love is gone because of jealous. I wanted to change the problem that one person has been causing since before I was even born. He was going to pay.

Unforgotten – Chapter 26

If you haven’t read Chapter 25, here is the link:

https://katiesblog96971617.com/2019/07/29/unforgotten-chapter-25/

Logan’s P.O.V.
We heard a terrible scream, immediately, Athena and I ran to the entrance and saw our father, holding our mother in a pool of blood. He was sobbing and rocking her lifeless both back and forth. I dropped to my knees, I could feel the tears pouring out from my eyes.

Athena rushed over to my mother and my father looked into her eyes and over at mine. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t see it happen.” He spoke as Athena tried to move our father’s grip from holding our mother.

“I can save her, let us save her daddy!” Athena screamed. I felt someone’s arms wrapped around my neck as I cried more.

“Athena, it’s too late,” Lewy said as she stopped what she was doing and Dean pulled her into his arms. I watched as her head buried into his chest, I could hear her crying.

I pulled Roxi into my arms and held her tightly. She pulled away to look into my eyes and very softly touched my cheek. “What can I do for you?” She whispered as I just held her, crying.

Even though my mother was a pain in the ass, she never should’ve died this way.

Something enraged me that someone would be such a coward to kill our mother and leave. Something in me clicked and I let go of Roxi and started walking towards the field.

“Easy, don’t go out there until we have a plan.” Colin stopped me as I kept on going.

“Logan, dear. You need to come back!” I heard Elle say, which stopped me dead in my tracks. I turned to look at her. “Please.” I slowly looked back at the field, waiting for anyone to come out of the shadows and face me.
__________________________________________________________________________
Marie’s P.O.V.
“Oh my god, what happened to her?!” I said as I saw my brother bringing his lifeless wife and laying her on the floor. I got on my knees and looked at her, I tried to use my magic to help her, but it was too late. “What killed her?”

I asked my brother, but he stayed on his knees, silent. He just stood there looking at Jade’s face. Lewy and Colin came over. “With this.” Colin said as he handled me the sword. This wasn’t just any normal sword. This one was laced with deathly poison that can’t be undone with magic.

I handed the sword to Elle. “Make sure no one touches that. It’s laced.” James, came to my side as he got done on his knees, sobbing over his dead best friend.

I held him in my arms as he looked at me. “What do we need to do?” He asked, as I looked up to Elle, Lewy, and Colin. We all knew what this means, the war has started.

I stood up and looked over at my niece and nephew. I could feel it in their souls that they were heartbroken and wanted revenge. “The war has been started. Dean, Roxi, Athena, and Logan, we need to cast the protection spell, as I will be in here. James will go out to the battlefield with you all, I’ll keep the protection spell up.”

“You aren’t staying her alone,” James said as I nodded.

“Don’t worry, we are leaving her with a few of our kinds, not to mention she will have Elle with her,” Lewy spoke, as James nodded.

“Lewy and Colin will be outside with you all. Make sure your kinds know that it is happening now and get them ready.” I said I looked over at my niece and nephew. “I know that you want to mourn the loss of your mother, but we need to make sure that this kind doesn’t make anyone else lose their mothers. Take that rage and use it for the battlefield.” They both nodded as they headed to their halls to change.

I got down next to my brother. “I’m so sorry that this has happened to you, but your children will make sure that whoever did this, will be stopped.” He didn’t say anything, just wrapped his arms around me. “I love you.”

“I love you, too, but I’m going out there with them,” Tanner said as he stood up and walked over to Lewy. “Change me.” Lewy looked over at me.

“Are you sure you want me to do this? Once you are changed, you’ll be at your strongest, however, if they get ahold of you, they can turn you into one of them. You’ll lose not just your family, but everything.”

I grabbed my brother’s arm. “Think of your kids, Tanner. They don’t need to lose both their mother and their father.”

“Fine, but I’m going out there. I’m not leaving their side.” Tanner said as he looked over at Elle. “Suit me up, I’m gonna kill whoever it was that killed my wife.”
__________________________________________________________________________________
Athena’s P.O.V.
I quickly changed into my ritual outfit and headed to the room, but before I could leave my hall, Lewy was standing there. “You need to make a choice. This will affect everyone, Athena.” Lewy spoke as he came out of the shadows.

I looked at him, but I was still unsure about it, but in my mind, I just wanted to find out who killed my mother. “Do it. Wipe Ricky from my memories, please. I need a clear head.” I said as Lewy nodded and looked into my eyes.

I could see him going back to when I first met him, he had just turned 4 and I was just born.

Next one was when I was I first knew I was in love with him. He took me to his prom. He snuck Logan and I in, we danced to one song, that I always called it our song. Unconditionally by Katy Perry, we were dancing together and as I looked into his eyes, I knew that he felt it too.

The last one was when I found out he was stilled alive. I had hope that he would be completely fine and that I was gonna do something to change him, but because what happened to him, he wouldn’t be able to change.

All of those were wiped. I blinked my eyes and looked up at Lewy, I was a little confused why Lewy was standing in front of me. “Excuse me, I need to go.”

As I left my hall, I saw Dean and my heart fluttered. I gave him a long passionate kiss. As I pulled away from him. “I just needed to do that before we go into battle,” I said as he smiled.

“Don’t you worry, we have this. I’ll be by your side, always and forever.” Dean said placing a kiss on my forehead.

Unforgotten – Chapter 25

If you haven’t read Chapter 24, here is the link:

https://katiesblog96971617.com/2019/07/22/unforgotten-chapter-24/

Athena’s P.O.V.
Before we even started training, we all had to meet in the meeting room to talk about something. I wasn’t sure what it was about, but for some reason, my Aunt Marie looked like she was glowing happy.

The only thing that would make me happy is if they say the war wasn’t going to happen at all, but with me involved, I might make this worst than it seems. What Lewy said has been running through my mind, whether I should have him erase all memories of Ricky.

I still didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I had to make up my mind quick. This upcoming battle won’t wait for me. I looked over back at my Aunt Marie, she had her fingers entwined with James. I was a little confused because James and she never seemed to be that close.

“Thank you all for meeting. I know we still have quite a bit of training to do, but we have another factor to address.” Elle spoke as she looked over at my Aunt and James. “Go ahead.”

My Aunt Marie’s smile didn’t go away, as she stepped closer to the table. “I have a wonderful announcement for everyone. Although I didn’t expect this to happen, but it did and I might not be as useful as I need to be.” She paused and took a deep breath. “I’m expecting a child.”

I was shocked, I thought it was something to do with me, but I looked at her and gave her a smile. When I read more into mom’s journal’s, Aunt Marie wanted to be with James to give her a child, to keep her young and alive. Now, it has finally happened. I looked over at Logan as he glanced at me, as well.

“Thank you, but now, I might be in more danger since the hybrid’s will want to kill me first.” Aunt Marie explained. She sat down at the table as all of our eyes looked at Colin, as he stood up.

“So, how are we going to do the protection spell now? We need one of you two, don’t we?” Colin asked, placing both of his hands on the table.

Elle interrupted. “James is going to do it. Now that’s said an done,” Elle looked over back at my Aunt, “Once the spell is cast, you will be the chosen one to stay in and keep it up when the battle starts. You won’t be alone, we will have some of Lewy and Colin’s men with you.”

My eyes glanced over at Lewy’s and I heard him say something that only I could here: Have you made up your mind about it?

I looked over at Dean as he held my hand under the table. He gave me a smile, my eyes went back up to Lewy again, as I nodded.
_______________________________________________________________________________
As soon as we left the meeting, I could hear voices get louder. I knew my Aunt Marie and James left before us, but this wasn’t them, it was my mother.

“You got her pregnant??” I heard her ask, as we saw my mother standing in front of James. “The only reason why you are even with her is that she saved your life from being a junky all your life.”

I watched as James had anger in his eyes. “What’s going on?” Logan said, coming up next to me, I shrugged and then he looked over at our mother.

“Why would you even care? I loved you before Tanner did and yet you still went with him!” James paused and looked over at Logan and I. “Jade, I even thought those kids were mine! I was heartbroken that I couldn’t have kids, but you should be happy for us. We both didn’t think this would go anywhere, but it did and I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

He held my Aunt Marie’s hand as it warmed my heart. “I love her and our child,” James said, as my Aunt Marie gave him a kiss on the cheek. They left down their hall, as my mother started to follow them. My father grabbed her wrist and pulled her away.

“We need to talk.” He said as they headed outside. I didn’t understand what my mother’s outburst was, but as I looked over at Logan, I could notice that he was over our mom’s attitude on everything.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Tanner’s P.O.V.
Once Jade and I were outside the tree, I was over it all. The fights, the disagreements, and especially with what had just happened. Ever since I found my sister and brought her into our children’s life, it’s been such a problem.

The kids needed to know who she was, I wasn’t gonna hide them from that. Jade has been making me hold it all back from them. The night I left, we had a fight about it all. How I was choosing her sister over her.

All I wanted to do was find Marie and welcome her to our family. It had taken her years before she was able to control her thirst of blood, but Jade insisted on waiting long, so I left to find out for myself. I knew that my sister would never harm me, I’ve always checked up on her and asked her how she had been and stuff.

I knew about James being turned and that Marie and him were together. I didn’t want to tell Jade because I knew she would overreact to this all, as she was doing now. After what she said about my sister, I just can’t let her say that.

“Why are you being so fucking heartless?” I blurted out, as she looked shocked as I spoke.

“I’m not, Tanner! All of this is too much for me! James and Marie being together, let alone pregnant! Our children are witches and too young to be on there own! I can’t handle it! This is all of Marie’s fault!” She screamed at me, as I felt my blood boiling.

“You can’t blame this on just Marie! This isn’t her fault! If you want to blame someone, blame our grandmother!” I screamed back at her. “Why can’t you just be happy that our children are doing something to save the world? You should be happy that they have an aunt that they changed back into a human, that they can get to know. They don’t have anyone, but us, Jade.”

I looked into her eyes, I saw how upset she was, but something inside me clicked. She still loved James. After all this time of him being dead, she still loved him. She stayed quiet, as

I asked one more thing of her. “You still love him, don’t you?”

Her eyes grew big, as I spoke those words. I saw a tear slip from her cheek. I knew it. She wouldn’t tell me. I had a feeling that it was true, but I didn’t want to believe it.

“I never wanted to hurt you, Tanner. I just didn’t want to leave our kids with a broken family.” She finally spoke after a few moments of silence. “I love you.”

“Just go, Jade. Go back home. I’ll handled the kids, I’m not gonna leave them in a time of need.” I said as Jade started to cry more.

I turned back and was about to head back into the tree, but I heard a scream, when I turned back around and saw Jade with a blank face. My eyes grew in horror when I saw a blunt sword come through her chest, piercing her heart.

“No!!” I screamed as I pulled the sword from her chest and carefully held her body. I looked into her eyes, my eyes started to water as I held her.

“Don’t leave them.” She spoke before slowly closing her eyes for the last time. As I looked over, I saw Lewy and Colin run over to me.

“What happened?” Colin asked as I looked up at him. He looked down at Jade and saw her body. “Shit.”

I watched as Lewy picked up the sword that was imbedded into Jade’s chest. As he looked over the sword, he shock his head. “Looks like the war has just started.” Lewy said as he looked over at Colin.

I just held Jade in my arms, not believing that this was happening.

Unforgotten – Chapter 24

If you haven’t read Chapter 23, here is the link:

https://katiesblog96971617.com/2019/07/15/unforgotten-chapter-23/

Logan’s P.O.V.
We have been training and practicing for about a week or so. Haven’t heard anything from the hybrids, but the vampires and werewolves’ packs and clans have already started to come to the base. Lewy and Colin have been working together well, which I was kind of shocked about.

Athena hasn’t taken the deal from Lewy, I was really hoping for her to take the deal by now. With the war about to happen, she has to do it or she will all put us in doom. I shiver at being reminded what Lewy showed me.

I can’t get it out of my head, it won’t leave my mind of what they would do all of us. I haven’t been able to go to sleep without waking up screaming. I haven’t told Roxi what is going on, but she worries about me having these nightmares.

She and I have gotten closer lately. I have been around here more than I have my parents and Athena. I look over at her, sleeping next to me, watching her chest go up and down, her hair scattered around her side of the bed. I couldn’t help, but smile.

I got up, slowly leaving my spot on the mattress, and headed towards my kitchen, as I was about to grab something to drink, I spotted Dean, just sitting out on my porch swing, smoking. I walked out my front door, as his eyes laid on me.

“What are you doing up so early?” I asked, sitting next to him. He handed me the joint he was smoking off of before he answered me.

“I wanted to talk to you.” He said, looking me straight in the eye. “Is it true? The vision?” I gave him a strange look, how did he know about that? I took a hit off of the joint, staying quiet.

“Lewy showed me the vision,” Dean spoke again as I nodded. “So, it’s true? She could all doom us, huh?”

I passed the joint back to him. “From what Lewy showed us, yeah, it could happen.” I paused for a moment before he could reply back. “You got to understand that Ricky has been in our lives since the day we were born. We grew up as siblings, but Athena and he didn’t get together until all of this shit started happening.”

He stood up and looked down at me. “Lewy mentioned he could erase her memory of him. He told me a second memory but didn’t tell me what was it. He mentioned that you had already done so with Roxi.” He paused, looking over as the waves crashed upon the shore. “You did it with her, didn’t you?”

I watched as he turned to face me, I was waiting for him to punch me in the face, but he didn’t. “Look, I really like her, there is a connection between us and she’s like the girl of my dreams. I’m sorry if that-”

“Don’t worry about it, I get it. I feel the same way with your sister.” He then leaned his body against the wooden bracket. “So, that’s how she will forget him.”

I shrugged. “I guess so, but I tried to get Lewy to convince her to have her mind wiped of him. The only difference is that if you bond with her, she’ll remember him, but her feelings for him won’t matter because she has you.” I stood up and headed towards the front door. “Do what you have to do, the sooner she forgets, one less thing we have to stress on.”

As I opened the door, Dean walked off my porch and headed out of my hall. I closed the door and held my head against the wall. I felt warm arms wrap against my torso. “I was looking for you.” I heard Roxi whispered into my ear. “Was that my brother you were talking to?” As I turned around, facing her, holding her hands in mind.

“It was nothing, just guy stuff.” I smiled, pushing back some of her hair behind her ear.

“Come on, let’s get back to bed and cuddle before we have to get up and train.”

She smiled as I lightly brushed her lips against mine, scooping her up in my arms and walking into my bedroom with her.
____________________________________________________________________________
Marie’s P.O.V.

“I can’t believe you are putting our children at risk like this! Our children should be in school learning and preparing for what they want to do in life, not this crap!” Jade yelled as I rubbed my forehead. She has been complaining about this for the past few days and I’ve had enough.

I looked over at my brother, hoping he would say something that would change her mind or at least shut her up. “Jade, I know this isn’t what we had hoped for our kids future, but there was nothing that couldn’t have stopped this.” He paused, rubbing her shoulders.

“Think of it as they are saving the world.”
Jade pulled away from Tanner and turned back on me. “This is all YOUR fault! I wish you were still out of our lives!”

All of a sudden, something in me didn’t feel right. Some odor hit my nose and my stomach didn’t agree with it. I ran to the nearest trash can and puked. I felt someone rubbing my back, when I looked up, it was James. “You feeling alright?”

I saw Elle approach the main hall with the look that I was afraid of. “May I have a word with you, James and Marie?” Elle asked as James helped me up. We followed Elle to our dorm, I could still hear Jade bitching about all this bullshit.

Elle closed the door behind me and held my hands. “My dear, do you know you are with child?” She smiled. I felt a flutter in my stomach as I didn’t think this could’ve ever happened to me.

“Wait, what? I’m so confused.” James said, then turned to me, giving me a look. His eyes were watering. “Are you really pregnant?”

I turned to look at Elle and smiled. Looking down at my stomach and then looking back into James’ eyes, I smiled. “Yes, I believe so.” James started to cry and got down on his knees, hugging my stomach. He started placing kisses all over my stomach.

“I’m so happy for you, Marie. This probably wasn’t the best timing, but this might make them strike for you first.” Elle explained, she wasn’t wrong, hybrids would destroy anyone caring our kind, especial a special child, such as the one that I’m growing.

James looked over at Elle and walked over to her. “What can we do? I’ll do anything to protect her.” I could see the fear in his face.

Elle held his hand and smiled. “Don’t you worry, we will talk to everyone about this and figure out our next step. Have hope, my dear.”
________________________________________________________________________________
Dean’s P.O.V.
After I left Logan’s hall, I went to find Athena, as I couldn’t find her in her own hall, I headed down my own, entering my castle-like home, I found her, lying asleep on my bed. I laid down on the bed aside her.

Her eyes fluttered open and smiled when she saw me. “Morning Beautiful. I thought we were sleeping at your place?” I questioned as I motioned her to lay on my chest.

“My parents were fighting and I got tired of them screaming. I told them to go bother Logan, but my mother stormed off. I figured if I came here, I would at least get a little peace of sleep.” She moved over and looked at me. “I was wondering where you went off to?”

“I was just talking to Elle about the protection spell, again.” I lied. “Just want to make sure I understood it, that’s all.” I didn’t want to tell her I had talked to Lewy and then went to see her brother after. She doesn’t need to know, not right now.

“We will all be great at it.” She laid on my chest. “I don’t want to get up, yet,” I smirked, placing a kiss on her forehead.

“You know what? Let’s do something tonight, just you and me. What do you say?” I asked she leaned her head up to look at me, a smile appeared on her face.

“Are you asking me on a date?” As I watched her cheeks get bright red from blushing. I nodded as her smile grew bigger. “Of course. What do you have planned?” She asked as I looked at my ceiling.

“You’ll see,” I said as we cuddled for a little bit longer, as I thought of what I would plan for our first date in my head.

Unforgotten – Chapter 23

If you haven’t read Chapter 22, here is the link:

https://katiesblog96971617.com/2019/07/08/unforgotten-chapter-22/

Athena’s P.O.V.
Lewy tugged me behind the water fountain, hoping that no one was looking. I was frightened at the fact that he might do something to me, but a voice I heard in my head calmed me:

Don’t worry, Athena. I just want to talk.

I realized that it was him talking, I started to calm down, although, I didn’t know what he wanted to talk to me about.

“You loved him, isn’t it?” Lewy asked I was confused who he was talking about. “Ricky, right?” I nodded as I tried to ignore the memories that my brain wanted to keep flowing in my brain.

“Why?” I looked into his eyes and asked.

“Well, I’m a very rare and powerful old vampire. I can see the future for center people, only those who have a heart of pure good. Lately, ever since I’ve seen you around here, I’ve seen your future and what will happen, if you don’t get rid of him in your heart.” Lewy held my hand and smiled. “You see my dear, Ricky cannot be changed back. Whatever happened to him, he will never return back to his old self.”

I felt tears falling down my cheeks. I will admit, I had hope for him. Hope that I would be able to help him and bring him back to the person he was supposed to be. I didn’t know how well I trusted this vampire, but the words he spoke, made him sound like he was telling the truth.

“I-I can help him.”

“Darling, if you could help him, I wouldn’t be standing here talking to you about it.” He pulled away from my hands and smiled. “You do have such a pure heart that you’ll do anything to save him. Sadly, there is nothing you can about it, I’m afraid. Since he so in love with you, that he is going to be coming for you.”

“Coming for me? Why?” I crossed my arms, waiting for what Lewy had to say.

“You are his on true love. Between you and you’re brother, he will try and convince you first about ending this war. Logan is too hard-headed that even Ricky knows it isn’t worth it to ask him.” Lewy said, looking around the corner to see if anyone else was looking. “I don’t have much time, but I’m giving you a choice.”

I was puzzled, a choice for what? Looking back at Lewy, staring into his eyes, he started to speak again.

“I can make you forget who he is, in your mind. You won’t remember what he looks like or any memories you had together with him. I suggest that you take some time to think it over, but we don’t have much of it.”

“Would it hurt me?” I questioned as I wanted to know if it would effect me differently.

“All I would be doing is taking you’re memories or thoughts that you ever had of him.” He then hugged me, leaning his head closer to my ear. “If I were you, I would highly consider it. Unless you think you are strong enough to endure saying no.”

I nodded, and just like that, Lewy was gone. I looked around, but he had disappeared so quickly.

He was right, but I didn’t want him to alter my mind. Although, if it made sure that we would win the battle, keeping the peace with everyone, I would do it.

I started walking towards my hall, just letting my mind wonder and think about it. I needed to really sleep on it.

Logan’s P.O.V.
As I kept pacing, back and forth, waiting for Lewy to come back after talking with my sister. I was scared to find out if she didn’t take his offer. He had come in and told me what would exactly happen on the battlefield, Athena would want to do everything to save him, if she did, we would all be dead, or worse, slaves.

I shook my head, trying to get the vision that Lewy showed me what would happen if we were to take that road. I couldn’t risk it. I looked over and saw Lewy coming towards me. He had a smirk on his mouth as he stood in front of me.

“She’s considering it, but I believe she will let me wipe him from her mind,” Lewy said, giving me some sort of relief. Knowing my sister, and how close she is with Dean, I didn’t want to tell him what was going on, knowing that he would go ahead and alert my sister of what I was wanting her to do.

“Let’s hope that her mind doesn’t change. She has been in love with him since we were in middle school.” I threw my hands into my hair, looking back over to Lewy. “You sure she’ll do it?”

“At this moment, she is thinking about it.” He said, placing his hands behind his back, looking out over to the sunset as the waves crashed against the sand. “You know, I might not have to wipe her memory of Ricky. Dean and she are pretty close, I’m surprised that they haven’t done what you have Roxi have.”

I looked over at him, feeling my cheeks burning, just from him saying that. I didn’t want to think that Dean was, you know, doing it with my sister. Then again, I had already done that with Roxi. Just thinking about it made me want to go back to her hall and toss her onto the bed.

Lewy smirked, probably listening to what I was thinking, for sure. “Bonding is the only other thing that she could do to forget about him.” He looked back at me, staring at me with his blood red eyes. “I’ll let you know if she wants me to wipe her memory. Goodnight.” Lewy bowed and then left my hall.

I looked over at the waves and hoped that this war wouldn’t be as messy as Lewy showed me it would be.
