Not Again: List of Chapters

Not Again is a short story that I wrote back in my Junior year of high school. It isn’t the best, but I just haven’t have the time to go back and edit at it because it really does. Anyway, here is the list of chapters, just so you don’t have to scroll through all of them.

Intro and Chapter 1:

You can always check out Wattpad for the full book, but I have heard that posting a list of chapters, especially to long books, helped out a lot of you and I find that it was easier to find a chapter you are looking for.

~Chapter 5~

As soon as I got off the phone with the police, I then called May and Nick. I know May won’t take this very well because she was always a mama girl. Anywhere my mother went, May would follow her.
“May?” I said as I heard her pick up of the other line. I tried to hold my tears back, but I just couldn’t.
“Yeah, are you alright?” she said as I then wiped my tears away. “What’s wrong, honey?” After she called honey, I started to ball my eyes more. My mother would call me honey all the time. “Alexis? What is going on?”
“Just get here. Come home now, please, I need you. Mom needs you.” I cried even more. Just mentioning her name, was getting me even more upset.
“I’m turning on our street now, but why is there a bunch of cops outside our house?!?!” She said as I heard the door opened. I then hung up the phone and looked up to find an officer and paramedics in front of me. I looked back down at my mother and cried.
Then May and Nick rushed into the house as soon as I saw May,she was in tears. May got down on the floor and she took and hugged my mother’s lifeless body in her arms. She then looked up at me and then hugged me.
“Who did this to her?” May spoke after a few minutes of hugged me. I then looked down at the bloody floor and the piece of paper that I threw on the floor. I went over and picked it up and gave it to Nick. He opened it up and read it, then gave it to May.
“I can’t believe she did this. That spoiled brat and of course our mother didn’t fight back! She was weak and sadden by the lost of her husband. She is going to pay for what she did!” May was angry and I was afraid that she might do something that she might regret.
“Let the police take care of it. She’ll get what’s coming to her.” Nick said, helping her up from the floor as the paramedics took my mother away. “Why don’t you go upstairs and take a bath? I’ll be right up there.” May nodded and then went up stairs to go wash herself off.
May is a strong person. Even though our parents are dead, she has been strong. Even when she went through break-ups and the death of her first baby. I never thought May would ever get over that, but she did. She wouldn’t do anything for weeks, until she then moved on from it. I was about to go upstairs, but Nick wanted me to tell the police everything that had happen.
“Do you know where Samantha is living?” One of the officers asked me. I nodded and then told them where she lived. I hope that she get’s what’s coming to her.

Crafty Sassy: Halloween Jar Cozies (Intermediate)

Hey dearies! So, the Halloween Jar Cozies won for me to make on tonight’s live on my Facebook page! If you would like more information about that, scroll all the way to the end.

This is probably going to be on the the most challenging projects that I have tried, so bare with me! I want to shout out to Red Heart for this free pattern! Here is the link of the actually pattern:
http://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW4910.pdf

*Note: I don’t own this pattern, all rights go to the owner of the pattern. I make the pattern easier to understand, in my own words, but I DO NOT own this pattern!*

Here’s what you will need:

  • Medium Yarn
    • Red Heart Pumpkin, is what I’ll be using when I go live.
  • Crochet hook sizes 5.0mm and 3.75mm.
    • The smaller crochet hook is used to make some of the faces, you don’t have to do that.
  • Black Fabric
    • This is an option if you are a beginner.
  • Stitch marker
  • Sewing Needle
  • Row Counter
    • You can use a piece of paper, but I recommend using a counter, whether you use one on your phone or have a digital one like myself.

Let’s begin!

Grab your 5.0mm crochet hook and some yarn. Make a magic circle or an adjustable ring.

Round 1: Make 6 single crochets in the magic circle. Make sure that you don’t join this round! Place a stitch marker at the beginning of the round.

*Note: As we keep working up, move the marker up after the end of every round. It will make it easier to keep track of where we are at for each round.

Round 2: Make 2 single crochets in each of the stitches, until you reach where the marker is.

Round 3: Single crochet in each of the next 2 stitches. Make 2 single crochets in the next stitch. Repeat until your reach the marker.

Round 4: Single crochet in each of the next 2 stitches. Make 2 single crochet in the next stitch. Repeat until you reach the maker.

Round 5: Single crochet in each of the next 3 stitches. Make 2 single crochet in the next stitch. Repeat until you reach the maker.

Round 6: Single crochet in each of the next 4 stitches. Make 2 single crochet in the next stitch. Repeat until you reach the maker.

Round 7: Single crochet in each of the next 5 stitches. Make 2 single crochet in the next stitch. Repeat until you reach the maker.

Round 8: Single crochet in each of the next 6 stitches. Make 2 single crochet in the next stitch. Repeat until you reach the maker.

Round 9: Single crochet in each of the next 11 stitches. Make 2 single crochet in the next stitch. Repeat until you reach the maker.

Round 10: Single crochet in the back loop only, of each stitch around.

*Note: If you don’t know how to single crochet from the back loop only, here is a link to a video that will show you how:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phf7Nj0_LJg

Round 11-15: Single crochet in each stitches around.

Round 16: Single crochet together over the next 2 stitches. Single crochet in each of the next 24 stitches. Repeat once more.

Round 17-33: Single crochet in each stitch around.

Fasten off and you can remove the marker!

Now that we have completed the base, you can leave it how it is or take some black fabric and shape it to look like a pumpkin.

Best part about this pattern is that you can use whatever color you want and it would be the perfect cover for gifts, especially if you can! If you are looking to make it for a larger jar, check the pattern and look at the gauge.

I will be going live on my Facebook page tonight, showing you how to make this! If you are intersected in watching me make this, check out my Facebook page and make sure that you like my page, so that you can keep up to date on when I go live or make sure you don’t miss the polls!

~Chapter 4: The Second Worst Day Of My Life~

“Mom! May! Nick! Im home.” I shouted and walked into the house. All the lights were off. Maybe they went shopping. I then looked on the fridge and saw the note that May left for me.
Alexis,
Nick and I went out to have dinner. Mom knows where we are and I should be home around 8.
May & Nick

I then turned on the light to find a trail of blood on the kitchen floor. I slowly followed it until I reached a puddle of blood with my mom. Dead. Tears started to come down like a waterfall. I ran to her and cradled her in my arms, hoping that this was all just a dream. I pinched myself, but I wasnt dream. My fathers dead. Now my mother is. Who else will be taken from my life now?
I sat there, holding my mothers lifeless body, and wanted someone to take me too. Take me away from all of this. I want to be with my mother and father. I wanted all the bad karma to go away. I looked down at my mothers body, a knife was still in her heart. She was wearing a sweater with a pocket that was on her left breast. There was something white sticking out of that pocket. I reached out and pulled it from the pocket.
It was a folded piece of paper that was addressed to my name. I unfolded the piece of paper that was written in my best friends handwriting. Well, ex-best friend, but a best friend. As it read:
You made me do this. If you had not made out with my boyfriend,
she would still be breathing, now shes not nor will she ever. You
dont deserve to be happy. I do. Ive been through everything. And
yet, you couldnt help but be slut. I hope you die with your stupid mother.
And yet, she didnt put up much of a fight. Shes weak, just like you.
Stay away from me and my boyfriend.
Sami
I ended up crying even more. My mothers killer was Sami, my former best friend. She hasnt been through shit. She has gotten everything that she has ever wanted in life. Boys, clothes, cars, cellphone, laptops, and even flat screen TVs. She is nothing but a spoiled brat. I first lost my father, now my mother.
I end up crumpling up that paper and tossing it onto the floor. I then grabbed my cellphone and dialed 911.
911, what is your emergency? the 911 operator spoke as I wiped my tears and cleared my throat.
“Theres been a murder at my house. My mother is dead.” I spoke.
“Are you okay? Is anyone else hurt? We are sending help your way.”
“No, Im not hurt. Just hurry.”

If you can’t wait to finish this book, feel free to check it out on Wattpad, just look up katieasehl, not only will you find this work, but others that I have either finished, or I’m currently working on.
